- Jiangxi: A total of 12 batches were found non-compliant, with issues related to phenylmethyl pyrazolone, toluene-2,5-diamine sulfate, and other substances in hair dye cream, sunscreen cream, spray, shampoo, and body wash.
- Jiangsu: 17 batches of cosmetics, including gel nail polish, freckle-removing creams, and sunscreen sprays, failed due to prohibited substances like dichloromethane, 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, benzene, chloramphenicol, and terbinafine.
- Hunan: One batch of acne treatment essence water was found non-compliant due to the presence of metronidazole and chloramphenicol, both banned in cosmetic products.
Regulatory Actions and Information Sharing
- NMPA Surprise Inspection: The NMPA announced the results of a surprise inspection of Gansu Dashouyin Rose Technology Co., Ltd., revealing serious production quality management system deficiencies. The company's production and business operations were suspended, and corrective measures were mandated.
- Guangzhou Special Sampling Inspection: Guangzhou's Market Regulation Administration inspected 2,066 batches of cosmetics, with 40 found non-compliant, spanning various categories like sunscreens, facial masks, and skincare products.
- Linxia Special Inspection: Linxia Prefecture's Market Regulation Administration conducted a one-month special inspection on online cosmetic sales and beauty service venues, focusing on counterfeit cosmetics, unlicensed production, and misleading advertising.
