On another note, the Port Hope Police have successfully intervened in what they describe as an attempted burglary. Officers responded to a report on Monday, arriving at a residence to find a suspect attempting to enter through the back door. Thankfully, no residents were present during this attempted break-in. The individual was apprehended, and authorities later discovered that he faced additional probation violations in the Peterborough area. Consequently, he has been placed into custody for further legal action.
